Whiteline sponsors 2010 Redline Time Attack series
Whiteline is pleased to announce their contingency sponsor program support for the 2010 Redline Time Attack series.
A time attack is another term for time trial. The term is commonly used in Japan for individual time trial events for motor vehicles that involves a vehicle running around the circuit in lieu of a qualifying lap and the term is widely adopted outside the country for tuner event and media. Redline Time Attack is the premier North American series which attracts some seriously tuned cars by privateers and tuning workshops around the country. What’s even better is the various categories of which one can compete which accommodates all levels of tuned vehicles and drivers.
Whiteline’s inclusion in the contingency program supports those cars competing and winning on Whiteline products.
The much anticipated first round takes place at Buttonwillow Raceway on the last weekend of March. Below is the 2010 event calendar:-

Whiteline supports Dutch Time Attack event
Whiteline is pleased to announce our support of the Dutch Time Attack Event to be held Saturday March 14th, 2010 at Zandvoort Circuit, the Netherlands.
Toyo Tires Time Attack is the most spectacular time of the day at our car events. Participants need to take everything out of their car to drive the fastest lap time. Time Attack is a real circuit sport, it’s a great experience for the participant and the spectator.
What makes Time Attack so special is that it is so accessible to anyone. In the Semi Pro class for instance, drivers do not require years of experience or a track-spec car. It is truly a class for the novice motoring enthusiast that wishes to gain some experience in driving competitively on a racetrack. The other two classes (Pro Street and Extreme) really make a crowd pleaser. More experienced drivers and even pro racing drivers will bash the track with highly modified cars, looking for the ultimate laptime.
How does it work?
During Toyo Tires Time Attack it’s about the fastest lap within a short period of time. All the participants within a class of 20-25 cars will go on the track and try to drive themselves in the best position within the field. The biggest question during the race is if you’re the fastest driver. On board we use transponders, which allows us to measure your time precisely. All contestants get the chance to drive some practice laps.

WHITELINE WINNING AWARDS AT SEMA

Whiteline has done it again, with a 2009 'GLOBAL MEDIA AWARD' at the recent SEMA show held in Las Vegas, USA. This is 3rd GLOBAL MEDIA AWARD in 2 years for Whiteline, and caps off another highly successful show. The award was for Whiteline's front and rear adjustable sway bar set for the highly desirable NISSAN SKYLINE R35 GTR.
The voting panel reviewed over 2,000 new style and performance products that were introduced at this year's show. From these, the journalists selected 10 products each that would be of most interest to their publications readers and most likely to succeed commercially in their respective countries. Publications from 25 countries were represented on the judge's panel this year.
Andy Nolan, marketing manager for Whiteline, received the award and was ecstatic to be up alongside other new product award winners of known aftermarket corporations from around the globe.

Adjustable sway bars for the Dodge Challenger/ Charger
The front sway bar features a solid 32mm adjustable
set up designed to balance out inherent oversteer tendencies,
whilst the rear sway bar (BCR15Z) boasts 18mm in diameter.
Both offer 2 points of adjustment allowing their stiffness to be
altered by increasing or reducing the length of the lever arms.
A sway bars objective is to reduce sway, or body roll, and
stabilise a vehicle under lateral (cornering) forces. Having
adjustability permits the roll stiffness to be tuned for different
situations without replacing the entire bar. The stiffer the bar, the
more force required to move the left and right wheels relative to
each other. This increases the amount of force required to make
the body roll.
Cornering loads are spread more evenly across the tyres
delivering more grip and frankly, that’s what it’s all about. You
also get improved tyre wear as your tyres stay flatter and more
upright. Comfort improves because your car sits flatter through
bends meaning less movement inside the vehicle.

The front sway bar features a solid 33mm 3 point adjustable set up, whilst there are 2 offerings for the rear sway bar to counter the understeer characterisitics, due to the understated 14mm original bar. One is pumped up to a solid 18mm (BNR36Z) in diameter, whilst the larger bar boasts 20mm (BNR36XZ) in diameter. Whiteline talk of the show at Autosalon Singapore
Whiteline recently made a very strong impact at the recent Asia Autosalon held at the Singapore Exhibition hall in early October. Over 4 days the inaugural show exhibited well known tuning houses from Singapore and boasted aftermarket performance brands from Japan, Thailand, Singapore and Australia. Drift exhibitions and eye catching race queens also got the cameras flashing and the hearts racing.
Having dabbled in the Asian market for some time, the show represented Whiteline’s official launch into the South East Asian market with it recently appointed distributor and the reception was fantastic. Andy Nolan, marketing manager for Whiteline, commented that the recognition of Whiteline was quite amazing. “We have really only started in this market but the awareness and more importantly useage of the product is impressive. There is considerable market potential here and now that we have a local source for the product, the business is sure to grow.
Whiteline will follow up the recent show with product and tuning training to further support the local Whiteline dealers.

GRUDGE MATCH III – 2009 Subaru WRX vs 2008 Mitsubishi Ralliart
September 4th - Wakefield Park Raceway - Australia

The latest installment of the world famous Grudge Match, sees a 2009 Subaru WRX take on its new equivalent, the 2008 Mitsubishi Ralliart Lancer. Off the factory floor, both platforms have had their critics, calling them uninspiring, but these cars are different and this shoot out sees both cars modified with Whiteline handling and MRT power packages. That’s right, these cars are definitely not standard, however the modifications that have been performed on these cars suit the budget of most enthusiasts, so they are very affordable, but most of all deliver bang for your buck performance.

ROCK - ROLL CENTRE KIT - Mustang 05-08 V8 coupe (BL-177)
WHITELINE diagnosed a mediocre MacPherson front suspension with poor roll
centre control and excessive bump steer:
With the Mustang at standard ride height, front roll centre height is 55mm
above ground. At even a mild lowering of 20mm front roll centre migrates below
ground level.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Basically it means you need a WHITELINE ROCK.
Front roll geometry actually encourages roll the lower you go. A
WHITELINE ROCK is designed to raise the front roll centre geometry by using
specially engineered ball-joints and tie rod ends while still maintaining
original steering geometry. Tests on the MUSTANG showed that raising the front
roll centre resulted in a substantial increase to front roll resistance and a
significant reduction in suspension compression of the outside front wheel
during cornering (less roll).
POSITIVE POWER KITS - 17/10/08 (BL-176)
KDT902 Bush kit sub frame to chassis insert.
Due to the heavily voided rear suspension sub frame mounts, large cross member
misalignment and movement can be noticed and observed during hard constant
cornering, giving a sensation of the rear end squirming around. Having the large
voiding in the rear bushes also allows the rear cradle to change the suspension
alignment dynamically allowing toe angle changes to the rear suspension during
cornering. By fitting inserts into the voiding, dramatically reduces the effect
of this and allows a more positive feel from the ear end during cornering.
VW Golf MkV
The MkV Golf is a great re-design and improvement from the earlier model,
particularly due to the all new rear multi link suspension, although with the
wider customer demographic vehicle handling dynamics and component quality has
been compromised. This is good news for an enthusiast as there is a lot of
potential for improvements on top of good underpinnings.

- Poor roll control
- Excessive front bump steer
- Minimal alignment adjustments
- High compliance bushing, front and rear

WHITELINE ROCK KCA313 NOW COVERS 2008 IMPREZA WRX and STi MODELS.
A WHITELINE ROCK is designed to raise the front rollcentre geometry by using
specially engineered ball-joints and tie rod ends while still maintaining
original steering geometry.
The front roll geometry actually encourages roll the lower you go. Tests on
P28 showed that raising the front rollcentre resulted in a substantial increase
to front roll resistance and a significant reduction in suspension compression
of the outside front wheel during cornering (less roll).
This improves weight distribution, maintains a better camber angle and
ultimately improves front grip. The overall outcome is significantly reduced
understeer through reduced front wheel compression, as well as improved steering
feel, steering precision and vehicle stability.

WALK - WHITELINE ANTI LIFT KIT
From the creators of the original anti lift and caster kit comes the latest
addition to th program with the release of the WALK for 2008 onwards Impreza WRX
and Sti. The WHITELINE anti lift and caster kits are infamous among WRX
and STi owners the world over. With a WALK fitted to your Subaru:

"Mechanical suspension - tuning is no longer enough"
Modern vehicles are equipped with a stability control system. These systems
are called different names, like ESP, ESC, VDC and so on, but they all operate
under similar principles. They're typically part of the ABS system and are
closely linked. These systems look for any perceived deviation from a cars'
"ideal" path like oversteer or understeer and then use selective braking of
individual wheels to take control. Great idea and a good safety feature but too
intrusive for racing or track work.
Whiteline's BLACK BOX is a world first allowing the driver to
electronically tune the stock stability control system to give control back to
the driver. The patented BLACK BOX system is unique in allowing cockpit
adjustable handling bias, a single dial delivers more oversteer or understeer on
demand. Only Whiteline's BLACK BOX lets you tune the amount of
intervention and even turn off stability control, without error codes or warning
lights.
BLACK BOX is designed for Race or Off-Road use but its still supplied
in kit form specially programmed for each vehicle. Comprehensive installation
and tuning instructions are provided but some modification of wiring is
necessary and we recommend fitment by a qualified workshop.
